Costa Rica: July 18-August 15, 2007

I spent a month taking a fantastical Tropical Herpetology course at the El Zota Biological Field station (~40 minutes from Carriari) in the Limon providence of Costa Rica. I spent most of my time either in the lowland wet rainforest hiking, at the pulperia eating Pringles, or on the benches in front of the kitchen making fun of people and getting eaten by mosquitoes. I saw some amazing organisms that most people only dream or read about (see pictures!). There isn't necessarily that much to say about events, as we mostly hiked and did research, but I will say that Laura shouldn't be left alone around butter knives and that one day, Tina will become an adult, too.
